Alex grew up in an intentional, land-based community in rural West Sonoma County and early on developed a deep appreciation for how the built environment shapes social connection. Her background spans from direct service and policy work with houseless populations in Los Angeles County to clinical psychology research and supervision at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience. Alex completed the In(Arch) program at UC Berkeley in 2020 and is now integrating her passions for community-building, psychology, housing justice, and architecture. Alex hopes to work on projects that reflect these intersecting interests at LLA and in her world outside of work!
