What is 108 A&D?
Housed in the most modern storefront in town at the edge of the Sebastopol Plaza, 108 Art & Design was conceived as a locus for design and education about the built environment.
While primarily the headquarters of our architecture office, the space is also a gallery showing local artists, a space for lectures and events, and a teaching venue. It is also the birthplace of The Core Project, A Study to Vitalize Sebastopol.

Janine Björnson

Janine Björnson is a Sebastopol based artist who is renowned for her work installing a variety of natural building finish techniques. Much of her work consists of custom colors of hand made paints and plasters in many different mediums. Her fine art work also utilizes natural and found materials. The installation at 108 A&D are hanging mobiles and one table-top piece made of folded pages of recycled books and found objects, playfully highlighting the beauty of reimagined materials.
